India 2008

Well in case you didn't hear, I (Chelsea) was gone for 3 weeks on a missions trip to a little city close to Bangalore, India. I went with 3 other people from my church in Seattle, Mosaic Community Church. We met up with 5 people who moved there and will live there for the next 3 years. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget and was full of many adventures.

Our daily schedule consisted of breakfast on the outside balcony with the BEST chai tea :), quiet time, worship and team time, lunch, then going out into the city to meet people and share the story of Jesus. It was so fascinating talking to the people of that city and seeing how they live life. They are so kind and loving and absolutely love talking about their spirituality. They were so open to talk to us, mainly because we were from America. But that was just fine with us, we took the opportunity and ran with it :)

I made it back on Sunday the 24th after 25 hrous of traveling! It was huge culture shock for me, but I'm so thankful that I got to be apart of this trip.

I think we can all say my mom is very happy to have me back in the states safe and sound w/o any major sickness. Which by the way I am so thankful for! My mom, dad and Guela came to pick me up from the airport and and I was sure excited to get a salad at the Bob's restaurant on the way home. Three weeks without fresh fruit and vegetables was a challenge so we appreciated any fruit we got. Which consisted of bananas and sometime oranges if they weren't too expensive ;)
