A small look into the life of a pre-nursing student

So in case any of you were wondering what I'm studying right now thought I'd show ya a a few pictures of what I took in lab this morning.
This is "Spaghetti Man." He has is made of a bunch of rubber wiring and tubing and has all the veins and arteries that we have to know with a few organs as well :)
Doesn't this look like fun!

And this is "Pancake Man." He's similar to our spaghetti man but he lays down and doesn't have as many
Look at all those lovely veins and arteries :)
One of the (many) heart models we have
All opened up
I didn't post all the ones from the slides we took on the mircoscopes lol thought that would be too much, along with all the reproductive models ;)
Hoep you all are enjoying the weekend!

A little breather after midterms :)

Well I thought I should post some pics of the one night I actually wasn't in my room studying, so here they are. And you should prob know that this was the night after our Anatomy & Physiology midterm so most of us didn't have much of a weekend and our brains were fried! But it was also Sara's (wearing the crown & one of my roommates from last year) 20th Birthday so Stacey DeJong and I took her out to Red Robin to celebrate :) It was refreshing to hang out (and have dinner outside of Gwinn) so that we could gear up for the rest of the week :)
Me and the Birthday Girl :)
And I think its safe to say the scarf (from my amazing roommate this year :)
brings out our bright blue eyes!
And coincidentally we were all in black that day....

Hope you guys are all doing great! I will be home on the 21st and I can't wait!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!

First bath & family

We gave Bryce his first bath and he wasn't suite sure about it all. With Brock standing on a chair looking on, me with the camera and Tasha actually bathing him it was quite the crowd I'm sure!

Eyes!!! Always exciting when they're awake :)
Grandma and Bryce :)
Guela and the grandkids - trying to get them all looking was not easy!
Sooo precious!
Love this one! My parents, now with 3 grandkids!

Lacey and the little ones on their last day in Lynden :( Miss you all!
And because I forgot last time, Auntie Shannon and Bryce

Well I'm back at school now and offically started Winter quarter today. My mom and dad drove me down last night (their second trip to seattle, back to back days) and when we came to campus it was a winter wonderland! Despite the blizzard going on outside they braved the weather and made it home safely! Thanks again dad and mom! You're truly the BEST!

Welcome Bryce Alvin!

Welcome Bryce Alvin! He made his way into the world on December 30, 2008 at 10:42pm weighing 7 lbs 11 ounces and 20 3/4 long. He's almost 2 inches longer than Brock was.... ;)
Congrats to Trevor and Tasha now on their two boys and Brock becoming a BIG brother! Tasha and Bryce made it home today safe and sound.
Here's a few of the new addition to the Lankhaar family! They're kind of in a random order but I wanted to get a few up before I went to bed - Enjoy!
Proud Aunties!

New parents!

Now a family of 4!

Brock warming up to "Its a boy." not Bryce lol

I think he will be a great help and a loving Big Brother!

Hope everybody had a safe and enjoyable New Years Eve! What an adventure this last week has been, I'm sure we'll be looking back on it with lots of stories! More pics to come I'm sure!
